This year, we're taking our show on the road.
The Guild donated our first public art piece back in 1986. It was a stained glass window of all types of animals, donated to the peninsula SPCA. Over thirty years (and thirty art donations!) later, we came back to restore that beautiful piece. You might have seen it on channel 13 news the week it was fixed! (The Guild would like to sincerely thank Ali Rogan, Al Langer, and Rick Nelson for painstakingly restoring that art piece.)
Community art is important to us, so we're using this coming year to look back on the art we've donated over the past three decades. And while we restore art in the community, we're taking the chance to educate, too! Each site on the tour is a previous beneficiary of a Guild art donation. Some donated pieces need to be cleaned, some need repair, but they'll all get our attention. We will host an event at each venue, sometimes a workshop, sometimes a make-and-take project, sometimes a lecture. Each event will be tailored to each venue, with no two the same.

This year-long project will be a huge endeavor, and we'll need YOUR help to achieve our goals. Your Gift, in any amount, makes a difference.
Sites on the tour
The Chrysler Museum Glass Studio event will be held in conjunction with The Kistler Project. The Chrysler Museum Hot Shop was a recipient of art supplies for their casting classes, so there is no piece to restore. The Kistler Project will focus on a workshop for Long Life Learners, as well as a tour of the glass collection at the museum.
