VGG Memorial Award of Excellence:
For: Michael Huffman
Michael Huffman’s stained glass interest began in 1985 and later expanded into the Glass Gallery in 1990. The next 22 years were spent creating custom art glass for residential and commercial clients throughout the Hampton Roads, VA region and state of Virginia and eastern North Carolina with a wide range of formats and project sizes. The retail store closed in 2012 and moved to a home studio in Shawboro NC. Sadly, Michael passed away last October 1st, 2019.
Virginia Glass Guild is honoring his memory, today, with this Award of Excellence Award.
He was a dear colleague to fellow glass artists in Hampton Roads, Virginia.
We express our sincere sympathy to his life partner, Terry Hutson, for this difficult loss.
